How We Help

Surrenders and Strays

If you need to surrender your kitty, or if you have picked up a stray, please call us in advance at (506) 755-1100 and make arrangements to bring the kitty to the St. George Veterinary Clinic at 4 Pawprint Lane, St. George, Monday to Friday from 8 am to 4:30 pm.

There are no surrender fees, as we believe surrendering is always better than abandoning. Note: please contact Carma for feral cats.

Lost and Found

We provide information on our Facebook page about any companion animals that have been reported lost or found to help reunite them with their family.

To report an animal lost or found, please contact us (email, FB message, or contact us) with a picture, when and where the animal was lost/found, and any other information to help people identify your animal and contact you.

Lost and Found Policy: Any stray animals brought into the shelter will be held for 72 hours. If the owner does not claim the animal by this time the animal will become the responsibility of the St George Animal Shelter.

Any needed medical care will be given immediately (without waiting the 72 hour wait period) including but not limited to:

  1. treatment for external and internal parasites
  2. neuter/spay (if/when deemed healthy enough for surgery) as well as
  3. treatment for any wounds or illnesses

The cost will be the responsibility of the owner if the animal is reclaimed. If no owner comes forward within 72 hours, the animal is eligible for adoption.
