This form of donation has a bonus, the opportunity for the shelter to win extra money on top of what you donate.
Every one off donation (min $20) also gets our shelter 20 votes toward winning $500-$3000 dollars, this competition is held several times a year. To win this money our shelter has to be in the top #60 and the higher we are, the more money we win!
There is also a monthly donation option which has the extra bonus of putting us in the featured charity list 2000 or more times.
Finally, you can choose to just vote skip donating (if you are unable), and SHARE, SHARE, SHARE. Your vote & those of the people you share with will help us have a chance at the winnings. Charlotte County Can & Bottle has graciously partnered with us to help us to bring in funds on a regular basis to alleviate our operational costs.

Simply advise the staff that you want your recycling to go to the St. George Animal Shelter.
They will keep a running total and give us the amount that has been donated. This money will help to cover our operating costs which are mainly veterinary bills for these animals. These monthly bills at the vet usually run between $3800-$9200 depending on the number of animals given basic medical care, spay/neuter, medications, prescription diets, and other surgeries.
