We adopted Georgie in early October! After months of nagging my boyfriend Jake, he finally came around to the idea of adopting a kitty! We were stoked, and both originally from the Charlotte County area, we wanted to adopt from the St. George Animal Shelter! We found a picture of Georgie (previously Rhoda) online and instantly fell in love. It wasn’t long after that we got in touch with Tisha and she arranged a meet up for us!
We met Georgie and within 10 minutes she was on her way home with us! She quickly made herself at home, claiming the end of our bed as her napping spot! She has a bit of an attitude when she gets hangry, but it’s nothing some food or a treat can’t fix! Full of energy, snuggles, and love, she fits in perfectly with our little family.
We are grateful for the help of the St. George Animal Shelter and we couldn’t have asked for a better adoption experience! Thank you!
Claire and Jake
I can’t believe how much he has grown already. We all love him. One minute he is calm and cuddly the next he is on a mad dash tearing apart toilet paper rolls or trying to climb the curtains, it’s never a dull moment. He really is just the sweetest. He and his canine big sister Milly love each other too!!
Angel
Just a quick update about Willow's adoption.
We are so happy and absolutely love her! She has settled in beautifully! We adopted Willow for the whole family - pets included. Nathan has Cerebral Palsy and pets are definitely a loving and positive energy in the home. They are therapeutic on so many levels. They are funny, entertaining and sooo cute! They bless us and bring us so much joy.
We also wanted a companion for Tilley (also adopted from SGAS formerly Stella) so I'm ecstatic that he is being a playful and mindful big brother and they are fast best friends. It is wonderful to watch their bond grow. The same goes for Bo (our dog) who is naturally respectful of his feline friends and she feels comfortable with him as well. The following pictures show her with her human Nathan, her and big brother Tilley and her helping Bo finish supper!
So again, we are very grateful to all who work so hard to provide and care for these animals. You make the world a better place.
